Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! Jon and I will be starting our small adventures now.  We have a year to complete the tasks, I think we might be able to finish some goals quickly but I could be wrong. Some things are more complicated then they look.
Jon and I have come up with a book list for our small adventures. Initially the plan was to follow the New York Bestseller list but the list was too extensive. We also thought about Oprah’s book club list too which was also quite big. It was overwhelming to look at the lists so Jon and I have made our own list. We have chosen twenty four books that we would like to read. I’m still going to stick to my other goal of reading the books that I currently own and have never read too and Jon is going to try and beat his record of forty books.
Book list
1.       Nineteen Eighty Four by George Orwell
2.       To Kill a mockingbird by Harper Lee
3.       The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexander Dumas
4.       A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens
5.       Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson
6.       Seriously ... I’m kidding by Ellen DeGeneres
7.       1 Book from the bargain bin
8.       Pride and Prejudice and Zombies by Jane Austen & Seth Grahame-Smith
9.       Nineteen Minutes By Jodi Picoult
10.    The Essence of Happiness by The Dalai Lama & Dr Howard C Cutler OR any book written by the Dalai Lama.
11.    Decision Points by George Bush
12.   Holes by Louis Sacher
13.   Black and Blue by Anna Quindlen
14.   The Book Thief by Marcus Zusak
15.   The Corrections by Jonathan Franzen
16.   Oscar and Lucinda by Peter Carey
17.   The Hunger Games by Suzzane Collins
18.   Soon I Will Be Invisible by Austin Grossman
19.   The Blue Flower by Penelope Fitzgerald
20.   King Dork by Frank Portman
21.   Pictures of You by Caroline Leavitt
22.   The Call of the Wild by Jack London
23.   The Good Earth by Pearl S. Buck
24.   The Lighthouse at the End of the World by Stephen Marlowe
When we finish reading the books, we will write a review about them. Feel free to comment on the reviews and read the books too.  We have decided to read the books in the list in any order for convenience.
I have started reading A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens which is on the book list and I’m going to finish reading The idle thoughts of an idle fellow by Jerome K Jerome, a book that is part of my other goal. Jon has started reading The Hunger Games by Suzzane Collins and Pictures of you by Caroline Leavitt.
