MS Novel Challenge Update

I've just finished my prac (student teacher intership) of three weeks. It's been a busy three weeks where I taught grade five students about poetry. The class was nice except for four students who were really naughty. I had a lot of fun too and I enjoyed my time there. So while I was prac, I didn't have time write new blog updates or do anything much. I focused all my time on preparing my lessons and during my free time, I rested as teaching can be quite tiring.

I won't be posting for a while as now that prac is finished, I have a lot of assignments to do. I should get those done first. I haven't had the time to do much towards my goals but I have been keeping up with the MS Readathon which I volunteered to do. The MS Novel Challenge is you read as many books or text as you can to raise money for the MS Novel Challenge So far I have raised $47.50, I hope to raise about $100.  I haven't read that much but I hope to read more when the holidays come so I can raise more money.

I have mainly kept up with the MS Novel Challenge by reading blog posts rather than trying to finish as many novels as possible. I follow a lot of blogs and I always read new posts so it's made keeping up with the MS Challenge easy. I pay 10cents per blog posts to the MS Foundation. I also pay $5 per course readings and $5 per novel to the MS Foundation. I think Jon Bear would be raising more money than me if he were participating in the challenge because he's a faster reader.

  1. I hope that you learned a lot during your prac Carlyn, even if there were a few challenging students to deal with. Good luck with the remainder of your MS Challenge! I think you are doing just fine. Slow and steady wins the race. I'm like the hare in the tortoise and the hare. I can start fast, but tire myself out and take a prolonged rest and end up getting passed by the tortoise. >.< *pets tortoise on head*
